Getting to Leavenworth
Arriving by plane + rental car
We recommend flying into SeaTac Airport (SEA) and renting a car. The drive from SeaTac to Leavenworth usually takes a little longer than two hours, unless you’re lead-footed. Once you’re on the road your navigation map of choice (Google Maps, Apple Maps, etc) will be able to safely guide you to Leavenworth, but here’s a link, lazybones.
There are also two different shuttles that many of the locals use. Wenatchee Valley Shuttle and Leavenworth Shuttle & Taxi both offer service from SeaTac Airport to the Leavenworth/Wenatchee area.
Arriving by train
There is an Amtrak station in Leavenworth that has regular daily service from downtown Seattle. The train takes approximately three and a half hours - unless it’s late. If you end up taking the train, let us know - we have a bet going that someone would have to be a true railway enthusiast to be willing to actually put up with Amtrak just to see us get married.
Where to Stay
Leavenworth is a popular tourist town, so there are plenty of hotels, vacation rentals, and even campsites. However, because Leavenworth is such a popular tourist town, those options will book up quickly. We recommend reserving your stay as soon as possible. The most convenient option would be to stay in downtown Leavenworth: walk to and from the ceremony and shuttle pick-up/drop-off location.
Wenatchee, WA is the largest city in the area and is about a 30 minute drive from Leavenworth. There are many hotel and lodging options there to choose from if you can’t find something in Leavenworth.
